Best of the Desert Rally – October 2026

We’re heading out October 22–25 for Best of the Desert – four days, three nights, and some unreal roads through the Southwest.

The route takes us from Scottsdale through Laughlin, Zion, Escalante, Monument Valley, and Page before heading back to Scottsdale. Expect twisty canyon highways, red-rock overlooks, and wide-open desert straights, with a photographer joining us to capture the trip.

Long-time club member Allen Faulkner is putting this together. It’s a volunteer-planned tour, with hotels reserved in advance and group meals arranged. All you need to do is show up, follow the group, and have fun.

The itinerary:

– October 22: Depart Scottsdale, overnight in Laughlin

– October 23: Drive through Zion, overnight in Escalante

– October 24: Visit Monument Valley, overnight in Page

– October 25: Return to Scottsdale

The trip includes three hotel nights, two mobile details, national park entry fees, overnight security, valet fees, one breakfast, three lunches, three dinners, gratuities, and a photographer. It’s a round trip from Scottsdale, so no car shipping is needed.
